SEO Myths Debunked Though Experimentation

In the world of SEO there are a multitude of differing opinions out there on the world wide internet.

A large percentage of those opinions are from people simply talking about things they heard or read from someone else. Unless you belong to a couple of master mind groups you won’t get the information needed to create an informed opinion. What’s needed in SEO to know what works and what doesn’t is testing.  Without testing you won’t know what’s working and what’s not. Those people testing are not going to reveal any of the secrets learned without getting something in return.

I belong to a few of those groups and we pass around information from member to member. This is normally done on closed Facebook groups or forums and they can range in price from 40 dollars per month to 247 per month and when you get to the big leagues, as much as 5000 dollars per month.

As it turns out, many of the changes should not have been changes because they are still working. The only way to know this is to test.  Cheack out this article about testing that was done here

There are MORE misconceptions surrounding SEO

…than almost any other aspect of digital marketing.

And, it’s hardly surprising when you consider there are more than 200 ranking factors, but almost all are shrouded in secret.

Since Google do not (and are never likely to) share the inner workings of their algorithm, how do you know what really works?

How do you decipher the SEO myths from the matter and the hear say from the fact?

You turn to science, that’s what!Read More
